Lifeboat crews from Broughty Ferry have rescued a man from the River Tay at Dundee.

The volunteer crews were alerted to a man on a wall beside Discovery Quay at about 21:00 on Wednesday.

The man entered the water after both Broughty Ferry lifeboats arrived at the scene but was rescued by the inshore lifeboat crew shortly before 22:00.

The man was later transferred into the care of a waiting ambulance crew and police.
