Police car collides with van in Perth during pursuit
Officers are appealing for witnesses after a police car was badly damaged in a collision following a pursuit in Perth.
The police vehicle was following a black Volkswagen Golf on Princes Street at about 14:35 on Tuesday when it collided with a van.
The Volkswagen Golf was later found abandoned nearby.
The two officers in the vehicle were taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment.
Princes Street in the city centre remains closed between Victoria Street and Canal Street while an investigation takes place.
Two fire engines attended the scene along with an ambulance, paramedic car and a number of police vehicles.
Insp Michelle Burns from Road Policing said: "We understand that the Volkswagen Golf has been seen driving erratically in various areas in Perth today and are appealing for any witnesses to .
"We would particularly like to hear from any motorists with dashcam footage of the vehicle from today."
