Manics homecoming gig
The Manic Street Preachers have returned to their home town of Blackwood to play their first gig there in 25 years
Thursday's concert at Blackwood Miners' Institute was postponed from December because vocalist James Dean Bradfield (left) was suffering from laryngitis
Earlier in the day the band revisited some of their old haunts in the company of 大象传媒 DJ Jo Whiley
Before the gig bass player Nicky Wire (right) said: "It will be the smallest gig that we have played in a long time which will no doubt lead to chaos, severe nerves, but hopefully a night of home town ecstasy"
The show in front of 180 people was broadcast live on 大象传媒 Radio 2 at 2100 GMT and also shown live on the 大象传媒 website
