More listeners tune in to 大象传媒 Radio Wales

The number of people listening to 大象传媒 Radio Wales is going up, according to the latest audience research figures.

Almost 480,000 people now tune into the station each week, figures from Rajar, the body in charge of measuring radio audiences in the UK, show.

That is an increase of more than 10,000 listeners in the last twelve months.

Radio Cymru now reach 138,000 listeners every week, which is 8,000 less people than the last quarter of 2011.

Steve Austins, editor of 大象传媒 Radio Wales said: "We're delighted that across the course of the last 12 months more listeners are tuning into 大象传媒 Radio Wales and they're listening for longer.

"Our aim is to reflect contemporary Wales in all its forms to our listeners on a daily basis, and it's a tribute to the hard work of the team here that they are tuned in to the needs of the audience."
