North Wales children's homes abuse: First Operation Pallial arrest

A man has been arrested as part of the investigation into historical child abuse in north Wales children's homes.

Police said a man had been arrested in Ipswich, Suffolk, on suspicion of serious sexual offences against a number of individuals.

This is the first arrest under Operation Pallial, the independent investigation set up in November last year to examine the abuse allegations.

The arrested man has been taken to a police station in north Wales.
