Wrexham: Elderly pedestrian dies after being hit by car
A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in Wrexham county.
The incident happened on Johnstown's High Street at about 19:30 GMT on Wednesday.
The man, who was in his 80s, was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital but died on Thursday.
A 40-year-old driver of a red Citroen C2 was arrested on suspicion of driving offences, and later released. North Wales Police is appealing for witnesses.
