A494: Woman hit by car in Mold dies in hospital

A woman has died in hospital after being hit by a car in the early hours of Friday morning.

North Wales Police officers were called to the scene on the A494 in Mold, Flintshire, at about 05:30 BST.

The pedestrian was hit by a Skoda Octavia and taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital, where she died.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
