Swansea: Two dead after car goes into river
Two people have died after a car was found submerged in a river.
Police were called to the junction of New Cut Road and the A483 in Swansea at about 03:05 GMT on Christmas Day after reports a car was in the River Tawe.
The bodies of a man and a woman, both aged 36, were found in the river close to the fully submerged Mini Cooper.
The victims have not yet been named but their next of kin have been informed and are being being supported by specialist officers.
A crane was used to retrieve the car and police have appealed for information, including CCTV or dashcam footage.
