Police cordoned off a pedestrian underpass near Queen Street in Cardiff city centre in the early hours of Saturday morning

Two men have been arrested by police investigating a serious sexual assault in Cardiff city centre.

They were arrested on suspicion of rape and bailed pending further investigation into the alleged attack near the Hilton Hotel during the early hours of Saturday morning.

The underpass was cordoned off while police made enquiries.

No further suspects were being sought, South Wales Police said.
