Aberystwyth bandstand work to start

The bandstand is expected to be finished by August
Work on the foundations for a new bandstand on Aberystwyth seafront is starting ahead of the demolition of the existing structure.
The bandstand has been a prominent landmark since 1935.
Some local people have said they want to keep the present bandstand, arguing it stood up well to the storms last year.
The original design was scrapped after being criticised as too modern and too expensive.
