New National Library of Wales president appointed

The new president of the National Library of Wales has been named as Rhodri Glyn Thomas.

Mr Thomas is stepping down from his seat as Plaid Cymru AM for Carmarthen East and Dinefwr before May's assembly election.

He described his appointment as a "huge privilege".

Mr Thomas will start work at the Aberystwyth library on 6 April and will be in post for four years.
