RSPCA say three birds dead after Brecon Beacons shooting

Three wild birds have been killed in the Brecon Beacons after being shot by a pellet gun, the RSPCA has said.

A member of the public found a dead raven and buzzard near Pen-y-Cae, Powys, on 5 April.

An injured crow was rescued but later euthanized by the RSPCA due to the "severity of the wounds" on its wing.

RSPCA Insp Gemma Cooper said the shootings were "incredibly disturbing" and "intentional".

She said: "It is against the law to kill or injure wild birds, except under licence, and individuals can be fined up to 拢5,000 and potentially up to six months in prison for each bird killed".
