Warwick Chemicals in sale to Lubrizol Advanced Materials
Flintshire-based Warwick Chemicals which makes additives for cleaning products is being bought by a US firm.
when it becomes part of Lubrizol Advanced Materials.
Lubrizol, based in Ohio, makes ingredients for home care and personal care products and pharmaceuticals.
Warwick Chemicals was set up in 1958 and was purchased by its management in 2008 from another US firm.
Warwick says it operates the world's largest at Mostyn which employs 160 staff.
Warwick chief executive Steve Williams said: "The acquisition of Warwick by Lubrizol is great news for the future of the Mostyn site.
"Warwick has long been recognised as the world leader in bleach activators for laundry detergents and dishwashing products and the addition of Lubrizol's resources will now help us grow the business more quickly into new markets and geographies."
The deal also includes Warwick Equest, which makes fabric swatches used by laboratories to test cleaning products.
