Llangollen housing estate plans get council go-ahead

A bid to build 95 homes on land in Denbighshire has been approved by planners despite local opposition.
Objectors argued the development in Llangollen could be seen from both the Offa's Dyke footpath and from Castell Dinas Bran in the Dee Valley.
Denbighshire's planning committee after hearing the land was earmarked for housing on the authority's development plan.
Local schools will also receive £172,000 as part of the development.
The cash will be used to provide additional classroom places created by the new housing.
Another £47,000 will be put towards providing affordable housing elsewhere.
