Flint man in court over alleged bid to abduct girl, four

A man charged with the attempted abduction of a four-year-old girl in Flintshire has appeared in court.

North Wales Police responded to a report of the alleged incident close to the Jade Jones Pavilion, Flint, at about 14:00 BST on Sunday, but the child was not hurt and is safe.

The 50-year-old defendant, from Flint, was remanded in custody at the town's magistrates' court on Tuesday.

He will appear at Mold Crown Court in September.
