Murder inquiry after woman dies in Rhyl disturbance
A woman has died and three other people are in hospital with serious injuries after a disturbance in Denbighshire.
North Wales Police said a murder inquiry has been launched after the incident in Rhyl on Saturday night.
Emergency teams were called to Llys Aderyn Du just before midnight, where a 21-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Two other women and a man remain in Glan Clwyd Hospital at Bodelwyddan.
The street, on a housing estate in the east of the town, has been cordoned off as forensic teams search the area and officers conduct house-to-house enquiries.
Det Ch Insp Neil Harrison said on Sunday night: "A man remains in police custody and is being interviewed and we can confirm that we are not looking for anyone else in relation to this incident.
"I fully understand the concerns of the community and would like to thank them for all their patience and support whilst these enquires are ongoing.
"This is a tragic incident where a young female has sadly lost her life and a number of other people have received serious injuries."
An appeal has also been made for anyone in the area or who witnessed the disturbance to come forward.
