Theatr Clwyd secures 拢1m for redevelopment designs

One of Wales's most prestigious theatres has secured more than 拢1.3m of funding for the design and development of a major redevelopment.

Theatr Clwyd, near Mold in Flintshire, will has secured 拢1m from the Arts Council of Wales (ACW) and 拢330,000 from Flintshire council.

The theatre estimates the redevelopment will cost a 拢30m and "ensure the company's future sustainability".

The council said it was an "extremely important development".

Theatr Clwyd's executive director Liam Evans-Ford added the funding was to be "applauded" as the theatre looks to "ensure future generations benefit from the creative work made here in north east Wales".
