The leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats Kirsty Williams has thrown her support behind Nick Clegg as she admits the party's "difficult times".

Speaking from the party conference, Ms Williams backed the Lib Dems' leader's decision to apologise for making a promise he could not keep.

Ms Williams also defended the decision to put up VAT, saying: "No party has done more than we have to address the taxation situation."

I spoke to Ms Williams at the conference in Brighton for Sunday Politics.
