Dame Shirley Bassey in Ryder Cup concert
Welsh singing legend Dame Shirley Bassey is the latest star to join the line-up for a Ryder Cup launch show.
It is understood that the Welcome to Wales concert in Cardiff will be her first performance in her native Wales for more than five years.
Meanwhile, TV presenter Steve Jones will host the event at the Millennium Stadium on 29 September.
Pontypridd rock band Lostprophets, Catherine Zeta Jones and Katherine Jenkins have also been confirmed.
Swansea singer Shaheen Jafargholi and Only Men Aloud are among the other acts taking part. The European and US golf teams will also attend the gig.
The Ryder Cup takes place at Newport's Celtic Manor resort between 1 and 3 October.
Born in Tiger Bay, Cardiff, Dame Shirley's career has spanned more than 50 years. She has produced more than 30 studio albums, which have spawned 105 singles, with Diamonds Are Forever and Big Spender being two of her most famous hits.
Dame Shirley said: "I'm honoured to be asked to perform at Welcome to Wales and proud to be part of such a fantastic celebration for The 2010 Ryder Cup.
"This is a huge opportunity for Wales and with Katherine Jenkins and Catherine Zeta Jones also taking part, we'll certainly be adding the glitz and glamour to golf. I can't wait."
Guest presenter Catherine Zeta Jones will deliver a special address to open the concert, while her namesake Steve, the Rhondda-born TV presenter, will introduce the acts to the stage.
"I'm very excited to be part of this huge event and the fact it is in the Motherland is the icing on the cake," he said.
The Ryder Cup is staged every two years, alternating between venues in Europe and the United States, and it is the first time it has been held in Wales.
