Ambitious regeneration plans for land near Burry Port harbour have taken a step forward.

Proposals for 370 homes, commercial and leisure space and a Welsh-medium school were put on hold while the Welsh government decided whether or not to "call in" the plans.

Officials have decided not to and left decisions to Carmarthenshire council.

Council leader Emlyn Dole said the scheme could now go ahead to deliver jobs, housing and a school.
