Nepal crisis looms over deadline for new constitution
Nepal's Supreme Court has rejected a proposal by the interim assembly to extend its term by three months so it can draft a new constitution.
The court said the assembly's term, which has already been extended four times, could not stretch beyond the deadline of Sunday, 27 May.
大象传媒 correspondents say the decision could force fresh national elections.
The constituent assembly was elected for a two-year term when the country became a republic in 2008.
But political parties have repeatedly failed to draft a new constitution.
