Cork death: Woman arrested after girl, two, dies

A woman in her 30s has been arrested following the death of a two-year-old girl in Cork.
The alarm was raised at 05:18 local time on Friday, when emergency services were called to an address on the Boreenmanna Road in Cork city.
Sanita Cawley was taken to Cork University Hospital and pronounced dead at 09:20 local time.
A murder inquiry got under way on Saturday following the results of a post-mortem examination.
Gardai (Irish police) cordoned off two apartments in the Elderwood complex where the child was found and have spoken to residents and others who live in the area.
Two cars were also seized for technical examination.
Over the weekend, floral tributes and teddy bears were left on the ground near the entrance to the apartment block.
