A third body has been found by garda铆 (Irish police) investigating the murders of two brothers in County Cork.

Armed garda铆 responded to an incident at a farm at Curragorm near Mitchelstown late on Thursday night.

They found one man dead in the farmyard and his brother dead in a shed. Both men were in their 60s.

On Friday the body of a third man was found in a nearby river. Irish national broadcaster RT脡 News said it understands he was a third brother.

Garda铆 said they were working to recover the body from the river and confirm the man's identity.

They also found a red Toyota van, registered 03-WW-1556, which they believe is linked to the incident.

It was parked at an unconnected farmhouse at Killacluig, close to the river where the third body was discovered.

The emergency services had been alerted by a member of the family on Thursday night after they were unable to contact the brothers.

The farm has been sealed off for a forensic examination and the state pathologist is expected to visit it on Friday.
