Limerick: Pair arrested on suspicion of child's murder

A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a four-year-old boy in Limerick earlier this year.

Garda铆 (Irish police) said the child was fatally injured at a house in Rathbane on 13 March and died in hospital three days later.

The man, aged in his 30s, and woman, aged in her 20s, were arrested on Thursday.

The pair are being held in Limerick city.
