Stranded baby dolphin found on Pembroke Beach, Guernsey
- Published
A baby dolphin has been set free after being stranded on the shingles at Pembroke Beach, Guernsey.
The dolphin is thought to have been beached following severe gales overnight.
Volunteers protected the stranded mammal, which is about a metre long, until vet John Knight could attend.
The GSPCA said: "The dolphin was extremely tired and there was no way that the animal could be re-floated with the rough gale force weather."
The animal was set free in the Beaucette Marina.
