The syndicate of teachers work at La Mare de Carteret School, but wish to remain anonymous
A syndicate of teachers from a school in Guernsey has scooped the £695,000 top prize in the Christmas lottery.
The teachers from La Mare de Carteret school have decided to remain anonymous but said in a statement it was "a wonderful Christmas surprise".
The prize was lower than previous years, where first prize regularly topped £1m.
There was a second prize of £50,000 in addition to five lots of £10,000 for third prizes.
