Jersey census to create 200 temporary jobs

  • Published

Up to 200 temporary jobs will be created as part of the roll-out of the 2011 Jersey census.

The extra staff are needed for various roles, including support for people filling in the census forms.

Most of the recruits will check addresses and deliver the questionnaires over the three weeks before census day on 27 March.

The census information will let Jersey's government predict future demand for services.

There will be 10 office-based staff to enter the information from returned forms.

These roles are expected to last for up to five months.
