Three people were arrested in the searches that took place in five different locations - Belfast, Londonderry and Newry in Northern Ireland, and Birmingham and Kidderminster in England. Our Home Affairs Correspondent, Vincent Kearney, was there when the Belfast raids took place.

In the north west, where another search took place, Women's Aid welcomed the police action and urged women who are being abused in any way to come forward.
