Champions League: Man United and Man City win in Europe
Wayne Rooney's late header secured Manchester United a 1-0 victory over Russian side CSKA Moscow and top spot in Champions League Group B at Old Trafford.
Rooney's winner was United's first goal in four matches and the striker's 237th United goal overall. It moved Wayne joint-second with Denis Law in the club's all-time goalscorers' list.
Elsewhere, Manchester City secured a place in the Champions League last 16 by tearing apart Group D Spanish rivals Sevilla with a 3-1 win.
Goals from Raheem Sterling, Fernandinho and Wilfried Bony sealed victory for City, who now have nine points from their four games.
