Sir David Attenborough receives Green Blue Peter badge
Sir David Attenborough has been awarded a Green Blue Peter badge.
It's been given to him in recognition of his work inspiring young audiences to care for the environment.
Sir David already has a Gold Blue Peter badge, and has been given the green one for his work bringing the natural world to life.
The green badges are made out of recycled plastic yoghurt pots!
He was thrilled to receive it and said "thank you very much" to Blue Peter presenter, Lindsey Russell.
His new documentary series, Seven Worlds, One Planet, has been four years in the making and puts the message of looking after the planet "at the heart" of each episode. (It'll be on TV from Sunday October 27 2019.)
