大象传媒 500 Words 2023: Writing tips as competition launches

Do you enjoy writing short stories? Well, get your pens at the ready as 500 Words is back for another year.
The competition was first launched all the way back in 2011 and since then there have been more than one million entries.
This year entries will be split into two age categories - 5-7 year olds and 8-11 year olds and you can send in your stories for the competition from today until 10 November.
If you're thinking of applying, a bit of writing advice might be handy. So who better to help you than some of the best authors in the UK.
