Christmas: Do you buy gifts for your pets?

It's that time of year when we're all busy trying to find the perfect present for that special someone - but what about your pets?

Do you get them some gifts, a stocking, a card, or even an advent calendar? According to the animal charity Blue Cross, more than a third of owners say their furry companion's gift is just as important as other essential Christmas expenses.

If you have a dog it can often be good to get them some treats, so you aren't tempted to feed them them things like chocolate, Christmas pudding and mince pies which are all toxic for the animals.

Christmas can also be a good time to get your pet something they need and can use all year round, like a new bed or enclosure.

Lot's of you probably enjoy dressing your pet up in a festive outfit which can look very cute - just keep on eye out to see whether your pet seems to be enjoying it or not.

Of course, you don't have to get your pet a gift, and some families think pets should stay out of Christmas present giving.
