He snapped the photo after a night of snow and he left an apple in his garden for the birds. Kevin Rooney took this of the oxpecker bird cleaning the nose of a buffalo in Mara North Conservancy in Kenya. He said: "We were sat in a land cruiser amongst a huge herd of buffalo watching the oxpeckers fly from one to another cleaning flies and ticks from the noses, eyes and ears of the buffalo."Image source, Alain PoirotImage caption, This is the sixth year the competition has been running and photographers all around the world enter.
