A prickly problem - more hedgehogs need rescuing
Hedgehog numbers are in decline and rescuers say they're seeing increasing numbers of the spiky mammals needing their help.
Scampi the hedgehog has been taken in by Ann from Wold's Hedgehog Rescue. She runs the service from her back garden in Lancashire and says in rural environments, the use of pesticides and insecticides kills creatures in the hedgehog's food chain.
Experts are still trying to get to the bottom of what's happening but things like climate change can also affect the hedgehog population.
Luckily, Scampi is back to his energetic self and ready to be released into the wild. Ann says: "He's an escapologist but cute as they come!"
