The four-piece have been picked by the station for its Band Aid slot, where listeners can voice their opinion on their track. Norwich band The Kabeedies could swell their fan base with their slot on ´óÏó´«Ã½ 6 Music every day, from 4 to 8 February, 2008. The digital and online radio station has selected the group's song Petits Filous for its Band Aid slot on the Shaun Keaveny breakfast show, which aims to support bands on the cusp of striking the big time. Listeners will be able to leave their feedback on the song by logging onto the ´óÏó´«Ã½ 6 Music website and using the new opinionator, which swings from It's Rubbish to Play It Now! Music fans can also leave their comments on the site, which may be read out on air. The band, who describe their sound as "rubbish pop music," are delighted with their latest chance to appear on international radio. Their week-long stint will co-incide with the broadcast of their Maida Vale session on Huw Stephens' Radio 1 show on Wednesday, 6 February, which was recorded jointly with ´óÏó´«Ã½ Norfolk Introducing. Drummer Francis 'Fab' Bell said the band - which also consists of guitarist Evan Jones and bassist Rory Hill - were delighted to hear they've been chosen for the Band Aid feature. "It's come out of the blue and it's amazing to think that the band on the week before us - Team Water Polo - have supported some really great bands," he said. "We enjoy constructive criticism, so if you don't like our song then tell us why and if you do then let us know why you do." The Kabeedies - who won The EDP's Next Big Thing band competition last November - release their first single, Lovers Ought To, on 21 April, 2008. It received its first radio play on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Norfolk Introducing on 95.1, 95.6 and 104.4FM, Digital Radio and online at bbc.co.uk/norfolk on Friday, 1 February. last updated: 04/02/2008 at 15:37 SEE ALSOYou are in: Norfolk > Entertainment > Music & Clubbing > Introducing > ´óÏó´«Ã½ 6 Music's Band Aid for Norwich act Norfolk Introducing
