On September the 14th at 4:30 I went in for my usual 6 month check up.听It was a family visit, I got called in to the room with my mum. I sat in the chair and they said that I had to have braces. I wasn't scared at all he asked me if I was sure that I wanted braces I said "yes". After that we walked out and said to my dad and brother that I had to have braces they weren't shocked at all we got in to the car and drove home. 6 months came and went just like that, after 6 months we went to the orthodontist "today" I was getting my braces put in!!! First they took pictures of my teeth, then they cleaned my teeth with pressured water, after that they took a mould of my mouth which was horrible, then they used a small brush to glue little links on to each tooth then they linked it all together with thin strips of wire. I sat up in the chair and the dentist went through what I am aloud to eat, after that we left and went home. The next day was school and I was really excited because I haven't seen my friends in two weeks. My friends were shocked that I had braces and for the first couple of days my teeth and gums were hurting "Some people laugh at braces but I'll have straight teeth." |
