Migrant workers in Northamptonshire Who's to blame for the credit crunch?As Britain looms into a 'deep recession', 大象传媒 Northampton has been asking people across the county, who they feel is to blame for the current economic situation. Reporters have been speaking to people from all over Northamptonshire to gauge opinion and feeling about the gloomy economic climate. So far, people in Corby and Rushden have said they feel migrant workers are to blame for the credit crunch. Some residents in the area say they've found it difficult to find work, as employers are overlooking British workers in favour of migrant workers. They say employers are able to hire migrant workers for a cheaper wage, which is making it harder for them to find jobs. But migrant workers in the county say they are just as likely to lose their jobs and find it difficult to find employment elsewhere, should they fall victim to the economic problems.
