An eagerly anticipated concert in Dublin was met with extreme disappointment on Friday at the criminally under attended Aim gig in Tripod. Accompanied on the last date of his tour with full live band, Aim and the gang played to about a hundred people. This did not, as you might expect, dampen their enthusiasm for the evening's proceedings. They gave a stellar performance. As soon as 'Demonique' began to boom from the stage an ecstatic crowd rushed forward, and the few die-hard fans were treated to what felt like a private party. Most of the favourites were played - the only noticeable exception being 'Good Disease' - but with Smile as the finale no one could complain. The crowd was even treated to a couple of brand new tracks. Niko road-tested one of her solo numbers 'You're so Boring' from an album Aim is producing, but it was difficult to gauge a genuine reaction since there were so few in attendance. It was, however, definitely met warmly. A great venue was host to an even better gig - it's just a shame there weren't many around to hear it.
