Now that the leaves have fallen
the trees feel cold, bare
disbelieving that anything could grow on them again
The heaviness of winter sneaks round their naked arms
Spring a myth a lifetime away
Now that the nights are long
they seem longer than they are
and I know i'm not like Lorca feeling
freedom under the night's cloak
I am like I
sleepless
or waking up clutching and sweaty
Daylight a myth a lifetime away.
