Acerbic by Jihane Rodriguez
|
"I read… I find myself reading not only for the constant searchÌý of knowledge, but as an exit route, kind of an emergency way out of the intrinsic and tortuous Ìýlabyrinths of my mind stained with your acerbic image.
Ìý
I find myself immersed in a peaceful alacrity to forget about the harsh words you spit out in anger and the ambivalence you have created, since now I find myself in the predicament of hating the one who was given me the privilege to be a mother.
Ìý
I write… and in writing I find a gate to sanity, and I let out words you will never read nor comprehend, because the anodyne effect of your addictions has not only rotted the insides of your already broken brain, but has destroyed all the little humanity once inhabited your soul.
Ìý
I read, I write… I live. And I shall do so not just for me, but for the only pure and innocent element of your miserable existence, your son."
