Mel Lewis
As a man in his 40's I prefer to think of myself as growing young. There is a little voice telling me that reaching "middle age" is not something to worry about....it simply will never happen! I have been writing poetry on and off for years. I prefer plain speaking so the reader knows where I am coming from - I hope you enjoy the poems as much as I enjoyed writing them - I have more! Be With Me by Mel Lewis |
Stand with me on a mountain
And we'll look down on the world
Walk with me in the garden
And witness natures beauty unfurled
听
Come with me and we'll spend time
Contemplating Gods endeavour
Lay with me and we'll think about
What it means to say forever

A poem with layer upon layer听of meaning.听 Again, the mass of detail works really well.
