Feed the Birds Day

Feed the Birds Day is designed to encourage people to get out into their gardens and local green spaces and to help our local wildlife during the cold winter months.

Speaking at the launch Aidan Lonergan said:

鈥淔eed the Birds Day is about encouraging people to think about the magnificent local wildlife which surrounds us. As the cold winter months are fast approaching it is essential that we give our birds the best possible chance of survival and ensure that we feed them with the most energy filled foods including nuts, seeds, cheese, fruit, rice, bread or even non-salty bacon.

In addition to the Feed The Birds Day initiative, we are also launching Homes For Wildlife in an attempt to ensure a sustainable and healthy future by urging people to follow our free wildlife-gardening advice to help them transform their homes and gardens into wildlife havens."
