What would happen if the stars went out one by
one,
Leavin' us alone with a star we call Sun,
An' at night when we look to the planets above,
Would they raise in our hearts this feelin' o' love
Would they conjure the face of the girl ye adore,
To a mind trapped in silence, searchin' empore,
In a world trenched in darkness, death very near,
Could this love in our hearts conquer our fear.
A walk in the park with the love o' yer life,
With peace an' tranquility, no worries, no strife,
No thoughts o' tomorrow, awaitin' the night,
In the arms o' yer loved one, neath the Moon's silvery light.
Gettin' dressed in a flurry, haste has no bounds,
Like an eagle on a flight to its old huntin' grounds.
A last look in the mirror, does yer hair look alright,
Then into the game o' love, with a moon, shinin' bright.
One step from the door, a chill grasps yer heart,
An' threatens to pull all yer dreams far apart.
Somethin' dreadful has happened, yer eyes become blurred,
O my God, am I dreamin', has this really occured.
The night is so cold, like the winter with snow,
The moon is still shinin', with a horrible glow,
The truth, like a hammer, drives into yer head,
The blackness above, the stars are all dead.
No pinpoints o' light shinin' way up above,
To show ye the way to a haven o' love.
Or lead ye home safely on a wild, stormy sea,
An' lure ye to peace in a lovelife to be.
So tonite go outside an' look way up there,
Rejoice in the twinkles, show that ye care.
Raise up yer hands, to the beauty succomb,
Thank God, in His mercy, fer a wonderful Dome
