you do
I'm a BT Engineer who sings in a 2 piece with my better half,
Orlaith, at weekends, when I'm not doing that I'm following Derry
City, chairing the Watersiders DCFC Supporters Club, and of course
trawling magic seaweed to get to the beach as often as possible.

Where/Why did you start surfing?
Started when I saw a cheap board in Land & Sea Sports, had
the wetsuit and did one lesson with Aussie Dan. Went from there
really.

Any surfing honours, comp wins?
Yes, I honour myself with a well deserved pat on the back and
a yahoo everytime I actually manage it to my feet ha ha!

The cheap 7"4 THING i got in L&S Sports, a 6"3 Neil
Perrow custom made board given to me by a mate I did a few jobs
for, which is in dire need of repair, and my wee bro Emmets Voltage
long-board on which I'm better than he is.....he'll love that

to it, and I've since introduced my bro, and 2 cousins, with the
other bro sure to follow this summer....case closed.

Best thing about surfing?
It doesn't matter if your good or bad at it, if you're a surfer,
you're a surfer. There are no standards to meet and no one will
scoff at your weaknesses. Its just you and the wave.

Your top music/reading/movies/media,
surf or otherwise: Eclectic musically, everything
from Massive Attack to Marilyn Manson, same with books. As for
movies I've over 400 dvd's in my collection, so it'd be hard to
pick just one I like, but as far as surfing goes I could watch
Step In to Liquid all day. Fantastic. Oh, and lets not forget

Any ambition as a surfer?
Just to get as good as I can be at it, and maybe eventually have
a place close to the beach so I can nip across the road for a
blast whenever I want.
Dream surf trip:
Oz, but without the sharks!!!

Yes, 4 litre bottles of spirits, 10000 cigs, and 2 ton of surf
wax.
