I am a psychiatric nurse in Belfast.

Where/Why did you start surfing?
Surfing was something that I always wanted to do, but never knew
how to get into it properly. A friend of mine was surfing a while
and got me into it. Since that I have had more and more of an
itch for it...love it.
听
Any surfing honours, comp wins?
I dont think I will ever compete in it, I just like getting into
the water and challenging myself.

plus your fav board:
I have started out on a Gary Linden 6'8 egg which I really like.
My first board so far with a view when I am a better surfer, to
have a couple more.
"Surfing is getting more popular
in Ireland for sure". Discuss: It's funny,
before I started surfing I never noticed people driving with a
surf board on the roof of the car, or the surf shops that are
about. But now driving to and from different surf spots I have
noticed so many cars and people with their surf boards attached.
It's funny, but great to see, Ireland has some amazing spots and
it's about time that we have realised this.

Most surf friendly pubs/eateries:
From water to a hot pub with great hot food I
would say McGrory's, it's got a certain feel to it! I like the
Anchor aswell.

Favourite Surfer/s and why:
Since been in America I would have to say Gary Linden, Markus
Mead and Mark Mekenas. While out there these guys gave me some
great advice.
听
Best thing about surfing:
Simple, the freedom it gives me.
听
Your top music/reading/movies/media,
surf or otherwise:
Sigur Ros, love them top of my music at the minute. Can never
remember the names of films or show, but love the documentries
about the surfing world, true to life.
听
Any ambition as a surfer?
To keep doing it, I get so much pleasure and fun from it, it takes
the stress out of life for me at the minute.
Dream surf trip:
Australia just to see what it is all about.
