Born 'n' Bred: Surrey, learnt the error of my ways and soon became an听adopted Yorkshireman.

First memory:听 Being stuck in the snow in my pram in the big freeze of 63, and seeing a big man with a white beard - yes, Santa does exist!

First record bought:听 Itchycoo Park by the Small Faces, it had fantastic 'phasing' on the record.

First job:听 In a record shop, well it had to be, and Elvis Costello walked in!

Little known fact about yourself:听 I sat in a bath of custard for 34 hours and was interviewed by Frank Bough on Nationwide.

Favourite food and drink:听 A nice steak, medium rare, and a good bottle of red wine.

Favourite place in North Yorkshire:听 The South Cliff, looking down over Scarborough鈥檚 South Bay.

Any pet hates:听 People who do not indicate at roundabouts and pictures that are not hung straight in public places.

What would your desert island luxury be:听 I would be lost without the Internet and a radio of course.

Most embarrassing radio moment:听 Talking to George Cole about a new drama he was appearing in, only to tell me on air that he hadn鈥檛 seen any of it apart from his scenes!

Best radio moment:听 Stepping on board and presenting my first show for Radio Caroline in the North Sea - whoops!听 And working for the 大象传媒.

Who would be your dream co-presenter:听 Kenny Everett, one of the first people I ever heard on the radio.

If you weren鈥檛 a broadcaster what would you:听 be A meteorologist, I am obsessed by the weather.
