After talking my mouth off at a less than amazing interview, I was somehow offered the post as this years Blast Arts Reporter for North Yorkshire. My very first assignment was a two day training weekend down at 大象传媒 Bristol. The Next Big Things! The CompetitionSat in a room with fancy glass doors and shiny equipment and these people I aspired to be, it was strange. I was looking around a room of fellow Blast Reporters, and finally realising that I was one of them. I've always been a writer. Just a girl scarily obsessed with music. Someone with a passion for media, and a real enthusiasm for my local community. Now, I was all these things, but with one big difference - I didn't feel like the only one!
Learning For LifeOver the two says, we were shown all the tricks of the trade - from how to handle interviews in front of the camera, to the all-important risk assessment requirements. Yes, working in the media does involve paperwork! A night in a hotel, free food, super company, and several opportunities to pose in front of camera's - needless to say, I had a pretty amazing time at 大象传媒 Bristol with my fellow reporters. last updated: 03/08/07 You are in: North Yorkshire > I Love NY > Diaries > Rachel's Blast Diary > Diary 1: The One With The Blast Weekend [an error occurred while processing this directive] |
