Find out what amazing things North Yorkshire is doing to raise Pudsey's Pounds... When it comes to raising money for Children in Need, the wilder and wackier the idea - the better! Last year you certainly stepped up to the bar and organised some fantastic fundraising events and stunts. We want to know what you're up to this year. Fill in the form below and let Pudsey and the rest of North Yorkshire know what you're up to. Here are some of the fantastic events you've organised so far...Sixth formers at Easingwold School have created a dance for Children in Need. The whole school will be dancing to Aleysha Dixon's new song and raising lots of money. Jack and Jill's Nursery in Thirsk are holding a Christmas shopping evening. There will be gift ideas, jewellery and, of course, cake! Marcia and Helen from Starbeck Post Office undertook a 15-mile walk through Nidderdale and raised 拢300 in sponsorship. Well done, ladies! Selby College will be spellbound as staff and students will be dressing up as characters from Harry Potter. ICT Tutor, Paul Whitehead, has agreed to let his students shave off all his hair. Staff at the Richmond Swimming Pool will be dressing up as pirates - Arrrhh! Two members of staff will be having their legs waxed and some of the children are raising money by treading water. Harrogate Borough Council will be holding a quiz, raffle, cake stall and book stall. They will also be trying to get as many people as possible to wear their Pudsey ears! Streamline in Harrogate will be dressing up for Children in Need, as well as providing a cake trolley and your chance to guess how many sweets are in the jar. Following last year's success as the Spicy Girls, the York branch of the Scarborough Building Society will be magically transformed into Hogwarts. There will be special appearances throughout the dayby Harry, Ron, Hermione and Dumbledore! Pudsey Bear will be visiting Harrogate's Victoria Shopping Centre on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th November for a bumper weekend of fundraising. Richmondshire District Council's Community Office will be dressing in yellow to raise money, as well as holding a Yellow Raffle. Last year the team raised 拢367, but they're hoping to top that amount this time round. The staff and children at Sunbeams Day Nursery in Harrogate will not only be spending the day in fancy dress, but they will be creating some crazy and wacky hair styles and having a cake stall. Becca Williams is doing a sponsored silence in fancy dress! Her family, classmates and friends and cadets will be very relieved - good luck Becca. Emma Earnshaw is selling Christmas cards in aid of Children in Need at Malton School. Dean's Garden Centre in York are holding a prize grid draw to win a hand decorated Pudsey cake, made by a member of staff... you can enter the draw until Friday 14th November. Starbeck County Primary School are having a non-uniform day on Friday 14th November. Everyone has to wear something yellow. Staff in the X-Ray department of the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton have been busy for months now. They've done a half-marathon, held raffles, done a mountain trek and guessed the weight of a colleagues unborn baby! Phew... well done to them.
Steph Young from Harrogate is planning to swim the equivalent of the English Channel, she's doing a 10k run and a bounceathon on the trampoline and holding a cake stall. Members of staff at Richmond school are training hard for a 'Strictly' Staff Dancing event. They'll be donning the sequins to raise loads of cash for Pudsey... Keep dancing! Stagecoach Scarborough are holding a non-uniform day with a rainbow colours theme. Jason from York has held a mammoth sponsored silence. He started on 30th October and finished on 8th November. Jayne and friends think that everybody needs a hug, so they'll be on the streets of Scarborough holding a Hugathon...听 if you see them, have a hug and make a donation to Children in Need. Daniel Alexander is planning to run up and down Blenheim Terrace in Scarborough three times - good luck Daniel! Buttercups Day Nursery in Scarborough will be wearing spots and stripes and they'll have lots of other fundraising activities. Young Voices, a girls' choral group from Hawes, will be holding a sponsored sing. They are hoping to sing 15 songs, in harmony, from memory. Thirsk Garden Centre are holding a Children in Need day with mince pies, mulled wine, a raffle and music. They will donate 10% of the day's takings too. The Directors are playing a live gig at The Alexandria, Prospect Place, Harrogate. There will be a raffle, song sponsors, and collections. There will be a pyjama party and kamikaze karaoke at the Lord Nelson on Foreshore Road in Scarborough and a sponsored beard, head and armpit wax at the Blacksmith's Arms in Flaxton - ouch! Kelly Booth is dressing up in fancy dress at the Arriva Bus Company in Selby and Sophie is planning to have all her hair shaved off! Hope she's got a hat! Staff at the Kings Head Hotel in Masham will be dressing up in large babygros for work and there will be a 70s Abba Tribute Night at Bowl'N'Fun in Selby.
