I wish it could be Christmas every day Roy Wood & Wizzard You have to start dancing and joining in and before long it's Christmas( beware it can happen whatever time of year you play it)

I Believe in Father Christmas by Greg Lake. For me, sums up the hype, consumerism, expectation and ultimate disappointment of Xmas. The antidote to Xmas songs! Incidentally, the music on which it is based is Troika from Prokofiev's Lt. Kije.

Suzanne Rankin
Yep, go for Gaudete by Steeleye Span, am I correct in thinking its the B side to All Around My Hat? Reminds me of happy shopping trips on the last Monday before Xmas around Hull with my late brother, and having a Ploughmans in the Hull Cheese. 30 years ago, but I remember us walking down the street and singing this!

Rachel Simpson
It'll Be Lonely this Christmas by Mud. What an amazing vocal..just like the King.

Sheila Douglas
My favourite song for Xmas is Thank God its Christmas by Freddie Mercury because it is very unique as was Fredie. God bless him.

Jane
"I believe in Father Christmas" by Greg Lake. Music, Lyrics....it's all good!

Jay Commins
Whitney Houston did a fantastic version of 'Do You Hear What I Hear' on the CD single of 'I will always love you' back in 1992. It's fantastic!

Stop the Cavalry - Jona Lewie
An anti-war reminder, yet again.

Sharon Pinder
I Believe in Father Christmas - by Greg Lake. I love that full music sound, and the lyrics: -"the Christmas you get, you deserve". For me it isn't Christmas until I've heard it!

'Christmas Rapping' by The Waitresses. It's a perky and lively song. I always end up singing along with a big grin on my face!

Pooh of Pooh Manor
Fairytale of New York by Kirsty McColl and the Pogues. Because it's a song about Christmas on the skids rather than the usual glitz, cheese and schmaltz.

Brian Coyle
White Xmas By Bing Crosby. As a child my mum and dad took me to see the film and it was my 1st trip to the cinema, I remember the excitement and the wonder of seeing a big screen for the first time. This was in the 50's and I always well up with tears every time I hear the song, happy bygone times aaaaaaaahhhhh.

Ian Tomlinson
The snowman (Walking in the air)

judy
I think this song was released at christmas time a couple of years ago when I really didn't want to hear any christmas songs at all. I don't think it will get into your top ten but to me it says christmas of a different sort. By Chris Rea it's called "winters song"I'd love to hear it again!!

sandra harrison
