Clifton couple Simon Morgan and Amy Hind have auctioned off an 18 inch Jammie Dodger style biscuit. The tasty treat was originally cooked up for their tea but the pair couldn't bear to break it up, much to the despair of Simon's kids. "It looked too good to eat so we decided to give it to the highest bidder."听 Simon says it couldn't be any bigger as it wouldn't have fitted into their oven. "There's a whole jar of jam in there. It's great for dunking... it won't drop in your tea." The couple were inspired by a website dedicated to making large versions of your favourite traditional snacks. "We are great lovers of biscuits so we thought we'd give it a go and create our own monster. This isn't the duo's first jumbo biccie. They've also created a very big Bourbon and plan a colossal Custard Cream in the near future. The giant Jammie Dodger was auctioned off on E-Bay and has raised 拢31 for Comic Relief.last updated: 03/03/2009 at 13:46 SEE ALSOYou are in: Nottingham > Comic Relief > Baking it big for charity |
